About

Daniel Peter Imperiale is a photographer, writer, and filmmaker from New Jersey whose life has taken him from the densely packed suburbs of New York to the isolated shores of a remote Alaskan island and beyond.

It was during that season in Chignick Bay, AK that Daniel got his first camera and began taking shots of local wildlife and the small town’s population of some 75 people.

Since then, he’s honed his craft in spurts, working for one summer as a wedding photographer, another as a blender salesman. It’s been an indirect path to get here.

Now, he turns his eye toward underreported stories of pain and creativity, evolving at a slow and steady pace toward something worthwhile.
